Bailey Duane Whitlow was born and raised in the town of Lamesa on the High Plains of Texas near the New Mexico border. Duane grew to love and respect the people and history of Texas and New Mexico at an early age. A graduate of Texas Tech University, and proudly served in the  United States Marine Corps Reserve. Duane later moved to the Dallas area.

Duane’s love for his roots never left him. He purchase a second home in Ruidoso, NM and began to research and write about the area. So far the results have been two books in the TARGET series - “Target:Mexico!” and “Target:Villa!”, both available on Amazon.com
